June 10th, 2014 – During the months of May and June, Sprite-sponsored table cricket tournaments lit up malls in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. ThrowMotion’s cricket game units attracted thousands of visitors during the weekends, with many thousands of runs being scored each evening.
With images of the IPL 2014 fresh in their minds, the crowds adapted easily to the fast “2 overs – 2 players a side” tournament format and many players adopted their favorite IPL team names.
For the onlookers and the players, the icing on the cake was a glimpse of some fast-paced table cricket action by the former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar, who appeared to take to the task of bowling on ThrowMotion’s game units very naturally!
