Wisden-ThrowMotion Blast at Lord’s

Wisden Monthly’s World Cup Special magazine is out! Besides an exclusive interview with England captain Eoin Morgan, the issue includes an analysis of each of the 10 countries involved and predictions from Wisden’s team of writers. The issue also also contains an article by editor-in-chief Phil Walker covering CricketLive, from a visit he made to Lord’s in April. Here’s a link to that article as well as some behind-the-scenes pictures from Lord’s.

All set to go! But will the rain hold off for the next 30 minutes?

2-Over Blast. Wisden batting first, ThrowMotion bowling from the Pavilion End. A sprightly 26 for no loss put up by Walker. Including a beauty that sailed over mid-wicket onto the lawn.

With a pinch of sledging outdoing the “home court” advantage, Dayal appears to be on the ropes at 16/1. Three balls remaining. Eleven to win.

A four, followed by a six, tied the game with one ball left….And then Dayal squeaked in a single to make it 27/1 in 2 Overs. Great Match!

Players, managers and physios…pose with the little yellow fielders, at the MCC Museum.
